Based on historical archives & firsthand interviews, it is a history that until now, has not been taught in our schools. While students usually learn about the Treaty of Waitangi & early encounters with the first European settlers, more needs to be taught on recent cases of discrimination during the 20th & 21st centuries. Examples of discrimination in housing, employment & education are provided from across the country. He also looks at controversies today such as the continued use of Golliwog Dolls to claims that a group of Celts settled the country before Māori.

This book is a source of trustworthy material that separates fact from fiction.

100 pages, 24 photos, $19.95 inclusive of all costs including postage.

Why have I raised the price?

It has been over a year since No Maori Allowed first appeared. We have sold nearly 1800 copies. My goal was to get the book into the hands of as many people as possible at an affordable price. In doing so, I was essentially breaking even. I have also donated copies to schools, including 70 copies to one in South Auckland that could not afford the book. It has become too costly and time consuming to continue printing and selling the books, so I have had to raise the price and hand the day to day operation of handling orders to my daughter.

About the Author:

Robert Bartholomew is the author of 17 books including No Maori Allowed (2020), now in its 6th printing. An Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychological Medicine at Auckland University, he teaches Global Studies at Mission Heights Junior College.
